Situated in the picturesque village of Kislingbury, you will find this delightful independently-run pub dating back to 1830. The award-winning Olde Red Lion offers a warm, friendly atmosphere - a welcome change from the average chain-run pub-restaurant.
Having undergone major refurbishment under the current owners Paul and Christine, they have created the perfect setting. From good pub food and drink in the bar, to an elaborate meal within the Hunters Restaurant, which offers superb food created from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
The Olde Red Lion welcomes New Chef Jay who has taken over the role of Head Chef. Born in the Gambia, Jay emigrated to America and later joined the Navy Seals, which is where he started his training as a chef. Following his departure from the navy, Jay came to the UK and gained further experience working for the likes of Raymond Blanc at le Manoir and le Petite Mason in Birmingham, for the past couple of years Jay has worked as a Freelance chef at many top corporate events and has cooked at dinner parties for some of our best known celebrities and footballers…..Jay's skills in the kitchen together with his enthusiasm and laid back attitude are sure to enable the Olde Red Lion to grow its reputation. Watch this Space for NEWS on our affiliation to a Celebrity Chef, coming on board in the New Year.
Great for the family, with a child-friendly enclosed garden.
We regret that we do not accept children under 10 in the Restaurant, other than for Sunday Lunch, or as part of a Private Dining Room Celebration Meal. Children are welcome in the bar and bar dining room, but we would respectfully request that children under 10 leave the bars before 7.00pm. The Olde Red Lion are unable to provide high chairs, but you are welcome to bring a booster seat.
